Method #1: Advanced Disk Recovery Tool
It is the easiest and simplest way to recover files from Windows 10. All you need to do is:
  • Install Advanced Disk Recovery Tool.
  • Start the Advanced Disk Recovery Tool.
  • Move to the location from where you want to recover your files.
  • Select that location.
  • Select the Drive.
  • Chose “Start Scan Now”.
  • You will get two options. You can either select Quick Scan or Deep Scan.
  • All the deleted files would be visible in the red color font.
  • Select all the files you want to recover.
  • Click “Recover”.
  • Choose wherever you want to save your recovered files.
  • Click “OK”.
All your deleted files which you selected would be recovered.

Method #2: Restore Previous Versions
If you want to restore your deleted files without using the software you can do that as well through some ways. You can also recover data using the “Restore Previous Versions” method.
  • Open the folder from where you deleted files.
  • Right-click on that located folder.
  • From the right-click options, select “Restore previous versions”.
  • From there, you will see an option of “Restore Folder”.
  • Click on this and you will get your deleted files again.
  • But, If the “Restore Folder” option is unavailable, Move to Control Panel.
  • Click on “Locate System”.
  • Then from the left panel select “System Protection”.
  • The System Properties window will appear.
  • Choose the drive.
  • Now you can “Configure” by clicking on it.
  • System Protection window will appear.
  • Select the Radio button. You might find it beside Turn on System Protection.
  • Now, you will see “Restore Previous Versions” on a particular folder.
  • Do whatever is mentioned above and you will get your deleted files again.
Method #3: Recovering Files through Backup
It is better to have windows backup on your PC for such things. If you have a backup you can recover permanently deleted files in windows 10 very easily.
  • Connect your PC with backup storage.
  • Move to “Settings” by click on Windows.
  • Click on “Update and Security”.
  • Select “Backup”.
  • Click Backup and Restore.
  • Select “Restore My Files”.
Your permanently deleted files would be restored with software.

Method #4: Command Prompt
You can also recover permanently deleted files in windows using Command Prompt or CMD by linking an external drive to your computer.
  • Go to the start menu and then the search box.
  • Write Command Prompt or CMD.
  • Select Run as Administrator.
  • Start it out.
  • Here you will have to Type chkdsk E: /f .
  • Press Enter.
  • Type Y.
  • Again press Enter.
  • Type E again.
  • Press Enter.
  • Now Type F:\>attrib -h -r -s /s /d *.*
What do all these letters mean?
  • E is the external DRIVE LETTER for restoring files.
  • -r stands for “Read-only”.
  • –s stands for “System”. It is for select files.
  • –h ‘Hidden’. It is for the files which have been selected.
  • ‘/S’ search, this is for the specified path which includes subfolders.
  • ‘/D’ consists of process folders.
After the scan, you will get recovered files in CHK format. Save them however you like.

Method #5: Restoring Data Through “Recycle Bin”
If your files are deleted temporarily by just clicking delete. They are store in recycle bin and from there you can restore them.
  • Go to the Desktop.
  • Click on Recycle Bin.
  • Select all the files you want to recover.
  • Click on restore.
  • Your deleted files would be restored.
